This is a wonderful embroidery picture featuring a scene of two mischievous cats peeking out from under a curtain at three beautiful cardinals on a perch. The attention to detail is accurate - the picture depicts two bright red male cardinals and one lighter colored female. This charming picture has vibrant greenery as its backdrop and would add a warm and whimsical flavor to any room in your home! The picture is under glass in a lovely oak frame.
I'm guessing this piece was done in the 1980s. The picture and frame are in excellent vintage condition. Paper glued on back with wire mount.
I believe this piece is possibly punch needle embroidery or crewel- not sure.
