The Jagannath temple at Puri, in the state of Odisha in India, is a very famous temple of Lord Maha Vishnu. The main deities in the temple are Balaram, Subhadra and Krishna. The idols in this temple are different from the usual temple idols, as they are carved out of wood as opposed to stone or metal. The chariot festival or Ratha yatra is one of the most famous events of this temple.
