An antique Sterling Silver Engraved Village Scene Thimble Size 8, Simons Brothers Sewing Tool. This antique sterling silver thimble from Simons Brothers features an engraved village scene with old world cottages, brick silo building on either side of a arched brick bridge. The edge of the thimble is decorated with a curly cue pattern and the outlet dome is dotted. Measures approximately 3/4" Tall and is In excellent gently used antique condition. marked sterling 8 and on the inside the worn shield which I believe to be Simons Brothers hallmark. This thimble was my grandmother's which was given to me as a little girl in a swing basket she gifted to me. Fabulous collectors piece to display or a seamstress gift.
