Up for sale today is this Nebraska highway 92 sign. Made to the exact state standard used from the beginnings of the highway system around 1926, to approximately the early 1950s. the Nebraska state route marker has always featured the Conestoga wagon design as seen here, complete with pioneer man, woman, and oxen. Over the years, the wagon has gotten smaller and the route number has gotten larger for practical reasons.

in this sign designer's humble opinion, the Nebraska covered wagons - old and new - are the best route marker designs on the planet.

An original of these is very rare to find scrapped; many still enjoy their active service on the highway and the side streets. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble.

The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 5 pounds, 12 ounces, and is the same size as the originals: 15 inches on a side, or about 21 1/4 inches between the points.

This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
