SNOW outlet by Uri Shulevitz - 1998 - 1999 - 1st Edition - 4th Printing - Author Signed - Farrah Straus Giroux
Uri Shulevitz is a Caldecott Medal-winning illustrator and author. He wrote and illustrated many beloved children's books. This particular book "SNOW" is about a little boy and his dog in a grey city. The little boy believes that it's going to snow even though all of the adults go about their business not believing him. This book uses watercolor pen-and-ink illustrations to show how the city transforms when it snows. At the beginning of the book the city looks dull but outlet by the end, the snow is covering everything and there is much excitement.
This particular book is beautifully signed by the artist Uri Shulevitz himself! It was dedicated to the family that purchased it at the time. There is one small tear on the signature page as well as a yellow crayon mark on the other side of that page. There is a little wear and tear on the cover (please review the photographs). This book is from a 4th printing of the book and was signed by the artist in 1999.
I loved reading this book to my son and hope that whether or not you're getting it to keep in your collection or enjoy again with a different child, that you enjoy it too.
