Recycled/upcycled scrappy denim bag. This can be used as a medium sized purse or a medium to smallish size tote bag.
This bag is made from scraps of denim that were originally jeans. I saved all of our no longer worn jeans throughout the years, and finally found something that I wanted to make with them.
The outside of this purse is scraps of denim jeans. The front, center is a pieced swirl block. The strap is the center seam of a pair of jeans, so frayed edges will be along the whole length of it. You can tie a knot in it to make it shorter, or leave it as is for a crossbody bag. I have included a picture of the navy blue button closure. This is the best I can do with my phone, but you need to know that the picture, in my opinion, doesn't do the outlet button justice. The design in it looks almost like a light blue mother of pearl.
The inside of this purse is a cute cream and blue cotton fabric. The inside of this purse has no pockets, but the purse is small enough that things shouldn't get lost in of it.
This can be machine washed, cold water, and machine dried, low temp. Because it is cotton, it will probably need to be ironed to make it look nice and crisp.
