Mid-Century Set of 3 MINIATURE Still Life Flowers/Fruit Oil Paintings in Ornate Gold Frames, outlet Mid-Century Miniature Oil Paintings
A set of 3 Mid-Century still life paintings - two paintings each featuring flowers in a vase and one painting featuring a vase on a table with fruit. The paintings are unsigned but appear stylistically to be by the same artist. (They were bought together from the same antique dealer.) I don't know their age for certain but believe an educated guess would be circa 1960s.
I like that each ornate gold frame is slightly different but complements the others. They are made from some kind of thick heavy composite material that mimics wood. Each frame weighs about 5 ounces and measures 3-7/8 inches high x 3-7/8 inches wide x 5/8 inches deep. The frames do not have glass and have sawtooth hooks on the back. All 3 outlet frames are in very nice condition with no chipping. The backs show wear, and someone appears to have perhaps marked out the price with a black felt tip marker.
The paintings themselves - measuring the opening on the front of the frame - are about 2.25 inches x 2.25 inches.
