This is a handmade French taper rolling pin. It is 14" long, and has a walnut oil and wax finish. Desert ironwood is incredibly dense and fine grained. The center is 1.5 inches in diameter, and it weighs 13.8 oz. Desert ironwood is typically a small tree, so it is unusual to find pieces this big. This one is slightly asymmetrical with the ends measuring .82 outlet inches and .78 inches.
