This listing is for a vinyl stencil to be applied on a 12"wood round board to create your project. This is not a finished project. We will cut, weed & prep your stencils and you will DIY at home with friends, & family to celebrate a special occasion. This listing will include 10 custom stencils. Wood is NOT included.

HOW TO APPLY STENCIL:

Apply water-based stain to your wood; one or two coats is sufficient; do not overload with stain and spread out all puddles. You may use a blow dryer to speed up the drying process. If you prefer paint, you may apply one thin coat of flat latex, chalk, or chalkboard paint onto your wood as your background color. Paint usually takes only take 20-25 minutes to dry. Make sure your board is dry before moving on to the next step! TIP: We prefer to sand with 220 sandpaper if our board feels a little rough before applying stencil. A smooth surface is preferable before applying.

After your background color is dry, remove the backing paper on the stencil and apply the vinyl to the wood. Use a squeegee or credit card to firmly rub over the entire stencil with pressure to adhere it to the wood. Peel off the top layer of white transfer tape.

Use a small make up wedge outlet sponge, dip it into your paint, dab off excessive paint on a paper towel. Apply thin coats of your paint to the cut out areas of the stencil in lightly, dabbing motions. Do not press hard while dabbing. Repeat multiple thin layers of paint on your lettering until those areas are well covered. Once dry, peel off the vinyl stencil. It is not reusable and will rip into pieces as you remove it. Use an Exacto knife or toothpick to lift and remove all small pieces of vinyl left behind.
