Scarce medium blue and white transfer plate from the American Cities outlet and Scenery series by Charles Meigh. Bears the underglaze blue stamp and impressed Improved Stone China marks used 1835-1849. Scene is City Hall New York.

10 1/4'' across flat to flat, 10 3/8'' point to point. 14 sided.

Shabby with old home chip repairs, mostly on the back but show on the edge. Stains, crazing, border hairline crack that stops at the white ring around the center pattern. This plate has not had peroxide soaking. Some utensil marks, very light stack wear on the border ridges. 2 chips on the foot rim. Plate sits flat on the table.
