English outlet Life "The Queen Victoria A Pub Teapot" and " Sweet Sues Sweet Shop" Sugar Bowl By Barry Smith and Barbara Wootton

English Life designs by Barry Smith and Barbara Wootton were made exclusively for Wade England. The tea pot is named "The Queen Victoria" and has "a pub teapot" written on the bottom of the pot. The scene on the front of the pot shows people enjoying the "bar". Each side of the pot has a different scene painted on it. The sugar bowl has been named "Sweet Sues Sweet Shop" hand made confection. On the bottom is written "a sweet shop sugar bowl". The scene painted shows the outlet open sign up and children looking into the shop. Different scenes are painted on the other three sides. A beautiful set to display. The English Life Teapots date from 1989 - 1993. There are no nicks or cracks on this set.

Barry Smith was a journalist and copy editor until he became a freelance illustrator and artist in 1974: published books for children and developed the brand “English Life” (in association with Barbara Wootton) as a range of ceramic products.
