Sea of Hummocks outlet

This is an original linoleum cut titled 'Sea of Hummocks'.

In the far North of the Canadian Arctic lays Prince Patrick Island. The island's ground is permanently frozen. Only during brief summers the ground surface thaws. Thawing and freezing initiate forces that outlet elevate the ground differently. The results are little mounds, called hummocks, which are approximately 30cm high and 100cm in diameter.
