Vintage Krenit Bowl Denmark. Early 1960s. Original cone shaped steel bowl with Eternit fiber cement exterior finish in matte black outlet with bright orange enamel interior. Large 10 inch size. Interior enamel finish is without flaws and absent the usual chips that are apparent in enamel of this age. Exterior matte finish has minor scuffs (magnified in associated photos) and easily restored with a light olive oil rub. Designed by Herbert Krenchel and winner of the Gold Medal at the 1954 La Trieniale in Milan. Highly collectible, one of the finest examples of Midcentury Danish Modern design.
