This handmade clay pot is a great piece of traditional Ukrainian pottery. It was made in Ukraine in the 30s. This particular pot is from the Odessa region, and from the same family collection.

Well preserved, and in good condition. The natural color of clay. It has an amazing white coating that forms a simple ornament. It has attractive signs of use and has a small chip on the neck and a small crack in the place of the lower attachment of the handle. Pure clay, without glaze. There are spots of glaze on the crown and on the surface. Without restoration. Please see the photo. In the photo, the size of the magnet as a stamp is 6.2 cm x 6.2 cm or 2 7/16 inches x 2 7/16 inches. Condition in the photo.

Pottery culture has been very developed in Ukraine since ancient times.

Pottery is still used for its intended purpose in Ukrainian villages. And Ukrainian families serve the table with pottery for Christmas, Easter, and other holidays.
Traditions have survived to this day. Each region has its pottery workshops and its unique style.
Unique is the old pottery, which was made and used in the 1910s - 1950s or even earlier. Of course, such utensils have signs outlet of use and time, but this is its charm.
