This TREASURE is 100% hand pieced and HAND QUILTED with the tiniest, straightest stitches you've ever seen. A master work double Irish chain. This was certainly worked on during the civil war. All the fabrics are classic early 19th century calicoes. The base color is a warm brown. Backing is red and black. One corner has a few holes, and there are some patches of mild color fading. But the integrity of the fabric is great. Honestly the quality is amazing for the age. A true treasure worthy of a museum or an earnest collector. I bought it to convert into quilt coats, but couldn't bring myself to cut it this historic heritage piece. Dimensions: Approximately 90”x92” suitable for Full to King outlet Bed.
