Vintage Cyprus outlet Hand-Crafted Lefkara Lace in Oval Gilt and Burgundy Frame Wall Décor

A vintage hand-stitched Lefkara (Cyprus) lace embroidery in decorative frame. SKU-1085

This rick-looking wall hanging consists of an oval piece of Irish linen which was embroidered by famous Lefkara lace experts. The frame is win- coloured velvet and gilt-metal surround. The embroidery of snowflake-like shapes in wine colour and grey-green French thread. Quality materials and hand work made for the tourist markets of Lefkara.

This is a dying art form as the young people of Cyprus are more interested in education and choosing other professions.

Condition : Very good vintage condition. The back has some issues which do not affect the integrity of the wall hanging-please see pics
