C360 An Irish crochet collar with lapels and tails featuring shamrocks, sunflowers and rosettes. This turn of the century to Edwardian era collar has a tailored design with wide front lapels that narrow to points, narrow shoulders, and a wide square back. The corners of the collar and lapels feature shamrocks, sunflowers and rosettes. There is also a large shamrock on the centre back neckline, and several small ones scattered around the larger ones. I think this might be a LUCKY collar!! In between the large motifs is a typical clone knot net ground that criss-crosses the collar with rosettes at each of the intersections. The neckline has a typical Irish edging, and the outer edge is scalloped. The collar is 4" wide at centre back, 5" wide at the back points, 2 1/2" wide at the shoulders, 5 1/2" wide at the front lapels and it narrows to 1.5" at the points. It is 29" around the neckline from one front point to the other. The collar is in excellent condition with no breaks, except for faint yellowing at the centre back neckline. This will come out with a gentle soak. The perfect collar for a walking suit or day dress with a tailored look. $65.
