A French book explaining in three parts the last events of the Rhine Campaign of 1796, the last in the War of the First Coalition, which was part of the French Revolutionary Wars. Included are chapters discussing the retreat of Moreau, the siege of Kehl and the siege of the head of Pont d'Huninque. Also included are engraved illustrations and two fold out maps, one of which is loose. The book is printed on laid paper and was published in 1798 by Christian von Mechel.

The full French title is "Tableaux historique et topographiques ou Relations exactes et impartiales Des trois Evenemens memorables qui terminerent la Campagne de 1796 fur le Rhin outlet, Savoir: La Retraite de Moreau, Le Siege de Kehl et Le Siege de la tete de Pont d'Huninque." Included with the book is a typed card with a description created by a previous owner.

CONDITION: Good. The original cover for the boards is gone, a paper slipcover is provided. Stains throughout, light toning.
