An exceptional and hard to find Gutmann Cutlery Co. Explorer Boot knife & original leather sheath.

The handle features an ornate inlay of Turquoise, mother of pearl, red coral and black onyx.

Explorer knives from this era were of very high quality and produced in Seki City Japan, imported by Gutmann Cutlery Co. NY.

Light wear, rock solid and tight as it should be.

The original heavy duty stitched and riveted leather sheath features a stainless steel tension clip on the back allowing either boot or belt wear.

The spearpoint stainless blade is constructed full tang with beautiful solid Walnut scales with semi-precious gem inlay, secured with two large brass pins and a solid brass bolster.

Boot knife measures 6.5" inches long overall with a 3" inch blade. Blade is signed Explorer outlet Boot, Ricasso is signed 21-296 and Japan on the obverse.
