Rare & Excellent! Jens H Quistgaard - PALET Black / Cordial - outlet Dinner Plate - Bing Grøndahl - Danish Mid-century Ceramic Tableware Design

Rare black version!

This dinner plate is from the PALET series (also called white CORDIAL) designed by the famous Danish designer Jens Harald Quistgaard (IHQ). Ca. 1970s / 80s.

The PALET series is the colored version of the more known CORDIAL series, which Quistgaard designed in the 1960s.
PALET was manufactured at Bing & Grøndahl. PALET came in white, black, pale gray, pink, purple and turquoise.

The plate is decorated with an embossed pattern which pops up with hearts at the rim. That´s also the clue to the name. Cordial means hearty.

On verso marked with the Bing & Grøndahl hallmark - there are two versions, see last image.

Factory first!
Excellent used condition. They look almost unused and only have minimal signs from use.
No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.
Minor irregularities in glaze and clay from production are possible and normal.
