Beautiful HARD TO FIND serving Viktor Schreckengost platter in Salem's Hop Scotch Pink pattern and Free Form shape. It displays starbursts in light and dark pink as well as in grey and thin geometric lines in black. This is an extremely rare pattern! This one is ovenproof. A perfect present to yourself or a loved one.
It is in very good used condition with no cracks or chips but some wear is visible.

The Salem China Company was founded in 1898 in Ohio and produced dinnerware until 1981. According outlet to the Cleveland Museum of Art Archives, Viktor Schreckengost (1906-2008) designed for Salem China where he was art director through the mid 1950's. He designed the famous Salem Hop Scotch Pink and Hop Scotch Turquoise patterns in the Free Form shape in 1955. The Hopsotch Pink design is identical to the Hop Scotch Turquoise pattern, also known as North Star pattern, manufactured by the same company.
