Erphila TERRIER TEAPOT - German Ceramic Teapot Dog with Bow outlet - Philadelphia Import Ebeling & Reuss Dog Teapot - Character Teapot 6702B

Absolutely charming teapot made by Ebeling & Reuss in Germany for import to the USA.
Commissioned by Erphila in Philadelphia.
Teapot depicts a terrier dog sitting outlet up on her hind legs with her front paws forming the spout. Adorned with a wonderful pink bow handle.
There are a series of these animal teapots made from the 1920s through the late 1940s.
This one does not bear the Erphila logo - just the word Germany and an impressed style number 6702B so I believe it to be earlier production.

Condition is very good - there are no chips, cracks, repairs, or stains. There is age-related crazing in the glaze.
