This original DOUBLE-SIDED fashion illustration explores the concepts for Lady of May and Lady of November from my BIRTHSTONE GODDESSES series, including unused alternate outfits.

The Lady of May channels the influence of Indian Dancers with her dancing bells and jewelry evocative of the jubilant dances of May celebrations. I incorporated her flower, the Lily of the Valley, into her sashes and hair adornments.

The Lady of November was inspired by the Goddess, Mictecacihuatl, the Aztec Lady of the Dead. Her sashes and veil channel mourning fashions with coral jewelry as a nod outlet to her Aztec roots. I integrated November's Chrysanthemum's into the lace edges of her veil.

MEDIUM - Archival inks, marker.

SIZE - 8.5 x 11 IN (21.59 x 27.94 CM)

This drawing will come bagged and backed with acid free materials which are good for long term storage. If displaying in a frame, be sure to use UV resistant glass to protect the images from fading.
