Leather : This leather is vegetable tanned. Vegetable tanned leather refers to the tannage, or method of tanning the cowhide into leather.It is called "vegetable" because of the natural materials used in the tanning process like tree bark. Since vegetable tanning is a natural process, it is also eco-friendly. Vegetable tanning or veg tab as it is sometimes called, is one of the oldest methods of tanning know to man. It has been around centuries.

Leather Aging : when you get your new und-dyed vegetable tanned leather goods, it looks a natural colour. The hide is effectively naked so will age and darken with the sun just like your own skin. Aging will continue to darken your leather. Normal wear will darken the leather as air, light, the oils of your skin, and other environmental factors do their work, eventually developing a rich color and patina. Sun exposure, daily handling, water, and conditioning give natural vegetable tanned leather a rustic look over time.
That aging process makes the products 'yours'.

For the first 10 years Toshi had just given his wire works as gifts to people who inspired and motivated Toshi during his trips. After Toshi settled in Vancouver BC Canada, He started to think expand his wire art to the world. Now we sell his beautiful wire work to Vancouver Local Markets and on Etsy.
