Great heron, also called great blue heron, is commonly found along the coastal areas of Louisiana wading in the shallow waters of it's wetlands, marches and bayous. Easily recognized by it's stately size and display of blue grey plumage.
I enjoy capturing a view that I would enjoy spending a couple of hours in front of, taking in all the flavor of my surroundings.
This is a giclee created from my original impasto oil painting. All of my paintings are painted in an impasto style (heavy texture) done in oil using palette knives. Giclee stretched over a .75" frame, using high quality archival inks and protected with a UV coating. Canvas wraps edge of frame and is back stapled. Image wraps around edge of canvas. Making this canvas ready to hang without outlet a frame. Letter of authenticity will accompany the piece, should the giclee ever need an appraisal.
