ONTONAGON LIGHTHOUSE - Fine Art Print Of Original Oil Painting, Michigan Artist, Sandi Hammerstrom Oliverio
Perhaps one of the most popular Michigan Lighthouses, Ontonagon in the beautiful upper peninsula is open for tours.
No longer a living quarters for the Lightkeeper, the light of the tower still stays lit. Once actually jutting out into Lake Superior, the lighthouse appears further inland, due to the natural eroding of the Great Lake.
I painted the original scene with both palette knife and brush, to give a Realistic/Impressionism style to my work. Though a scene on the mighty Lake Superior, I feel this scene has a sense of calmness about it, not prevalent in the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse scene, or ever Point Betsie on Lake Michigan. Gallery Wrapped canvas can be framed or hung as is.
The artwork is the property of My Michigan Memories and the artist, Sandi Hammerstrom Oliverio. No reproduction in print or digital format is allowed, without consent of the artist.
