Samue (or Samu-e or Samu-gi) are the traditional work clothes (jacket and pants) worn by Zen Buddhist monks or nuns in Japan. They also make for comfortable and stylish clothing to support your meditation in the meditation hall or at home.
Samue are unisex garments.
Our Samue pants are made of 9 oz hemp and organic cotton canvas ( 60% -40% ). It's a plain weave and there is a slightly visible grain to it. Black, navy and grey color available.
This thick and durable fabric is really soft and not at all itchy . Please ask for a free fabric sample if you want to feel the fabric. The fabric is prewashed so your samue outlet pants can be completely washed and dried in ordinary machines.
Our Samue pants have 2 pockets on the side seams and one back pocket. The back crotch seam is top-stitched for more strength. The string is made of the same material as the set. There is no elastic and no zipper as i'm not using any metal or petroleum based material for my garments..
This file is for a custom made pair of pants.
Maybe you fit in a standard pair of pants ( cheaper) so please read the measurement chart carefully before ordering your pants and buy a standard pair of pants if you don't need a custom made one.
In order to have a perfect custom made pair of pants, you will need to provide specific measurements. I'll let you know the details by email if you choose this option .
In order to be sure you are comfortable in your pants when sitting, we suggest you use an existing garment and measurements from items you have in your home.
We will not be able to accept returns of a custom made pair of pants .
