19th c. CURRIER & outlet IVES Framed Print

Appropriately mounted in an vintage oak frame, measuring 15 3/4" x 20 1/2" and 3" wide, this is a 19th c. Currier & Ives Print titled "Peaches And Grapes". Underneath the title is "First Prize Published By Currier & Ives 152 Nassau St New York." In very fine, fine print above the title is "Entered According to Act of Congress In The Year 1870 By Currier & Ives...." Now considered very charming artwork in the American Country Style, the framed print is in good condition, showing only outlet the typical aging of the paper. The color is still good and the presentation is charming. Substantially heavy in weight because of the nice antique oak frame, which even by itself merits respectable value.
