Boy's Handmade Wool Waistcoat Vest ~ c 1928 England

Unique vintage c 1928 "Master of The Devon & Somerset
Staghounds Son's" boy's waistcoat vest. Made for the son
of the Master of The Devon and Somerset Staghounds
around 1928/1930 and passed through another family
before it reached its last owners c 1942 or 45, where it
was passed down and enjoyed by three generations.

Beautifully handmade in vibrant yellow with a black and
red zigzag check, 6 gold effect metal buttons, 4 front pockets,
lined, with an adjustable back strap and polished metal buckle.

Devon & Somerset Staghounds was founded in 1855.

Featuring 2 right side front pockets, 2 left side front pockets,
6 gold colored metal buttons, lined, back belt & buckle. The
backing is a beautiful complimentary colored satin that is
actually lined in cotton as well.....made so beautifully!!!
Also, the pockets are all lined and usable, unlike most vests
that have faux pocket fronts...these actually "are" pockets!!

Measures; 30" chest (from under arms), 20.5" length.
There is no sizing or label information because it was
handmade. Measurements are key to sizing, I am adding
a link for measurement instructions and sizing info...according
to this chart...the vest would be a boy's size Large.

Considered good condition for its' age, no major damage of
note, the wool fabric has no major wear, no holes, rips, tears,
or damage that I have seen, there is outlet some mild discoloration
and small marks at the satin backing, (has not been cleaned).
Showing normal signs of wear and surface wear and fading
to the gold tone button finishes. Dry Clean Only. Please view
