A RARE piece of kitchen history! Manufactured by Pyrex from around 1968-1979, this double boiler is in great condition (I believe it has never been used) and comes with the ORIGINAL box and packaging from the 1970s! It even has the original 'heat spreader' grid in its packaging! The box has obvious wear and tear and is missing a top flap, but I've never seen the original box in all my Pyrex research!
These machine-made pots have an almost colorless glass with blue tint and consists of two pots, one that sets within the other, both with stainless-steel metal bands and glass handles, one overall lid. Great for applying gentle heat when making sauces, melting chocolate, and other delicate tasks!
Never used, great condition with a small scuff on the base pot rim, most likely from it moving around in the box, see photos for details. No chips or cracks! Manufacture bubbles on handle.
