Vintage 1970s traditional style folklore peasant smock tunic in crisp cotton blend ninoflex cloth.

Softly gathered and smocks from around the neckband into the body and raglan sleeves.

Either side of front split, and cuffs are decorated with folk floral embroidery. The neck fastens with string ties.

The sleeves are also gathered at the cuffs with quite a full balloon. The cuffs fasten with press studs.

Label: NiNO - Nino-flex - Diolen cotton 33% synthetics 67%. The cloth was designed for outwear similar to a lightweight rain coat.


Good Vintage condition but has a few splatter spots mainly at the hem up to chest and one or 2 on the sleeve. Has been cleaned and the marks lightened, they may lighten over time after a few washes and wear.


Measures Approx UK M / UK 10 - 12 unisex fit fee size. Please check measurements to be sure of desired fit. Study photo's how the smocking falls when worn.

For example hand wash in cool with a non bio cleaner as cotton threads can become brittle, fabrics can shrink and colours can run.

When purchasing Vintage footwear, remember although it is more often better made by craftsmen using quality materials, footwear should be treated respectfully as the the components used such as glue and plastic soles can deteriorate over time or become brittle and will always be an ongoing project. Vintage footwear is not recommended for everyday use.
