Product code: Betty And Nelson Mears Northwest Studio outlet Pottery Complex Drip Glaze Stoneware Vase - 1960's era - Tacoma Washington Artists And Potters

A nice hand thrown pottery bud base made by well known Northwest Washington studio potters Betty and Nelson Mears. They learned their pottery craft from ceramics instructor F Carlton Ball on the late 1960's.

The couple went on to become full time artists producing and exhibiting their pottery, water colors and oil paintings at local craft shows and regional art exhibitions.

This stoneware vase was made by Betty Mears.

This pottery vase has a thin blue glaze that appears to have been brushed on and dripped onto the vase that allows the natural clay and clay texture to show through the glaze nicely.

It measures 6.5" tall at the rim and nearly 4" wide at the base.

The base is hand signed MEARS in Betty Mears handwriting.

It's in nice original condition and outlet has good weight to it and would look great with dried flowers in it or use it everyday.
