Great Butcher outlet Bird - Rare 1760 Folio Engraving, Original Hand Colored Antique Bird Print
"Tab. XXII: The Great Ash-colored Butcher Bird." Very outlet rare hand-colored engraving of the butcherbird (a close relative of the Australian Magpie) by German engraver, Johann Jakob Haid, and his son (J.J. Haid et filius Aug. Vind. in bottom right corner), circa 1760. It is a large folio-size engraving on 18th Century hand-laid paper with wonderfully detailed original hand color.
It is from an 18th Century natural history publication following the work of Thomas Pennant, with the descriptive text in English, German, and Latin. It is an original antique print, not a modern reproduction.

Approx. 14" x 19" (sheet size)
Condition:
Very good for age. Clean with wonderful bold original hand color.
It will be packaged in a sealed plastic sleeve and, given its large size, will ship rolled within a tubular mailer for protection.
